Supporting age concern to build positivity

One of the latest initiatives Clarus is supporting through our Community Partnership Fund is a sponsorship for Age Concern Taranaki.

We’ve helped cover the cost of a professional vehicle wrap featuring Age is Just a Number artwork by artist Paul Rangiwahia. The result? A once practical vehicle transformed into a moving billboard that champions positive ageing, inclusiveness, respect and community awareness as it travels across Taranaki.

We are proud to support this initiative as it strongly aligns with our TIGER values – particularly our Building Belonging programme, where we want everyone to feel like they have a place here at Clarus.

The team at Age Concern Taranaki work to build positivity around ageing and challenge age-related stereotypes. With the support of this funding, the wrapped vehicle aims to:

  • Promote positive attitudes towards ageing and show that older people are valued members of our community.
  • Increase the visibility of Age Concern Taranaki and the free support they provide to older people.
  • Bring the artwork into the community, raising awareness and encouraging interest in purchasing prints of the design. Proceeds from print sales help fund the programmes and services Age Concern Taranaki delivers across the region, including AgeConnect social connection and the Elder Abuse Response Service.
  • Spark conversations about inclusion, respect and the importance of staying connected at every age.
  • Reflect community pride and creativity, sharing a powerful message of belonging and wellbeing.

We think this is a fantastic initiative to be part of and a great example of how our partnerships help create positive change in our communities.
