We’re excited to share some fantastic news – our very own James Irvine, General Manager – Future Fuels, has been named a finalist for the 2025 Young Energy Professional of the Year at the prestigious New Zealand Energy Excellence Awards!

The Energy Excellence Awards celebrate outstanding contributions across the energy sector in Aotearoa. Now in their 15th year, these awards shine a spotlight on individuals and organisations making a real difference.

The Young Energy Professional of the Year category, sponsored by Phoenix Recycling Group, recognises emerging leaders under 40 who are driving meaningful change.

James has earned this recognition through his exceptional leadership, commitment to sustainability, and unwavering passion for advancing the energy transition – especially in the renewables and lower-carbon space. His impact at Clarus and across the wider industry is truly inspiring.
