Clarus supports Powering Change, an industry-led platform that brings together clear, accessible information on how New Zealand, Aotearoa’s energy transition is progressing.
The recently refreshed Powering Change website provides a more complete picture of what’s happening across the energy system, helping inform public discussion, decision-making and long-term planning.
While Powering Change places strong emphasis on electricity, it also highlights a broader truth, that New Zealand’s energy transition is about more than a single technology.
Electricity will play an increasingly important role, but secure, resilient infrastructure across the whole system remains essential as demand grows and patterns of energy use change.
Clarus plays a key role in that system today through gas and LPG infrastructure, and we are actively working on how that infrastructure can support a lower-emissions future. This includes exploring renewable gases and new uses for existing networks, alongside electrification.
