The Tauhei Solar Farm project is proud to support Te Miro Mountain Bike Club with the installation of a new solar panel system for the club’s trail maintenance hub. Located near Morrinsville, the club is a volunteer-run organisation dedicated to building and maintaining an extensive network of trails for riders of all skill levels.

The new solar setup will provide clean, renewable energy to power the club’s maintenance container and the electric tools stored inside. These tools are put to heavy use during the busy winter maintenance season by dedicated volunteers, who work hard to keep the trails in top condition.
“We’re grateful to the Tauhei Solar Farm project team for getting behind our solar project,” said a club spokesperson. “Keeping our tools charged and our volunteers going is a big job, and being able to do that using solar energy is something we’re really proud of.”
Project partners Harmony Energy and First Renewables, part of Clarus, are committed to building meaningful relationships with local organisations and delivering long-term benefits for the Waikato region. This sponsorship reflects the project’s shared commitment to sustainability, local connection, and long-term impact and are proud to help power the work of a club that gives so much back to the community, through outdoor recreation and environmental care.
