Firstgas, part of Clarus was proud to support the Energy Sector Fishing Competition over summer, an event organised by the New Plymouth Sportfishing & Underwater Club (NPSUC) that brings together people from across the energy sector while giving back to the local New Plymouth community.
Although we didn’t have a Firstgas team on the water this year, we were pleased to come on board as a sponsor and see the positive impact the competition delivered.
The event saw 138 anglers across more than 40 boats take part, with just under 500 kilograms of fish weighed in. The catch was processed by Egmont Seafoods and distributed evenly between two charities, On The House and the New Plymouth Community Foodbank.

In addition, auction and raffle proceeds of $3,125 were donated to the New Plymouth Community Foodbank, helping support families in need across the region.
At Clarus, we're proud to support initiatives that strengthen connections across the energy sector while making a meaningful difference in local communities. We thank the organisers and everyone involved in making the day such a success.
