Clarus has confirmed that Brookfield has completed its acquisition of Clarus from Igneo Infrastructure Partners (Igneo).
Brookfield, one of the world’s largest infrastructure investors, is now the owner of Clarus and its businesses Firstgas, Rockgas and Flexgas.
As part of the wider transaction, Powerco has acquired Firstlight Network, while Igneo has retained its shareholding in Tauhei Solar Farm.
Clarus Chief Executive Paul Goodeve welcomed the completion of the sale.
“We are pleased to welcome Brookfield as Clarus’ new owner. Brookfield is a highly credible, long-term investor with significant global experience and capability in essential infrastructure, and we look forward to working with them,” Goodeve said.
“For our customers and stakeholders, our focus remains unchanged. Our people will continue delivering safe and reliable energy and supporting the communities that rely on us.”
